Urgent and Emergency Care

Our Overall Services

Along with our regular veterinary services, we are dedicated to providing help for animals in distress at our emergency animal hospital. Whether your pet is exhibiting unusual behavior, has been injured, swallowed a foreign object, or is reacting negatively to a current medical condition, we want to hear from you. We will assess your pet to determine a diagnosis, provide treatment, or recommend an after-hours facility for continued care if necessary.

Signs Your Pet Needs an Emergency Vet Clinic

You know your pet and understand its behavior. Whenever they deviate from their usual self, you are likely the first to notice the change. Sometimes, however, pets are adept at hiding their discomfort or downplaying it. For this reason, if you observe any changes in your pet, it is best to call our clinic and let our veterinarians examine them to determine if there is a medical issue.

Some obvious signs that indicate your pet needs urgent care include:

    • Unable to stand
    • Unable to walk
    • Rapid breathing
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Pale gums
    • Abdominal distension
    • Seizures
    • Bloody diarrhea
    • Females unable to deliver their babies

Why Bring My Pet to an Animal Clinic for Urgent Care?

The adage, "Better safe than sorry," is why you should call our office and let us help get your pet the care they need.

What to Expect from Our Emergency Vet Clinic

Once you arrive, our triage team will spring into action to prepare your pet to see our veterinarians. You will be asked about the incident and what you have observed, so the vet has this crucial information to help determine the appropriate treatment and care.
